Bojelakgomo Primary School is located in a remote area where water and sanitation challenges are experienced on a daily basis. Tshipi addressed the problem by creating an independent water supply system for the school by means of drilling boreholes on the school premises, constructing waterborne ablution facilities and refurbishing the existing facilities. Water filtration systems were installed to ensure safe drinking water for the school. Through this project Tshipi has managed to boost local SMME’s, who in turn created local jobs for the duration of the project and at the same time eradicated poverty.

Through our Social Labour Plan Local Economic development initiatives, we invest in creating a conducive learning environment for learners in our communities through provision of necessities such as water, sanitation and functional classrooms that support learning. We believe that these learners will in turn lift the Tshipi banner in the future and bring about change in their communities thereby ensuring that our social license to operate is maintained.
