Chairman
Saki Macozoma is the Chairman of the Tshipi and Ntsimbintle board of directors. He is a significant shareholder and non-executive chairman of Safika Holdings which owns a major stake in Ntsimbintle. Mr. Macozoma is one of the best-known business people in South Africa. He has served as chairman of financial institutions LibertyHoldings and Stanlib. He has also served as deputy chairman of the Standard Bank Group and deputy chairman of Volkswagen SA. Mr. Macozoma was the president of Business Leadership South Africa and has also served as chairman of the South African Presidents Big Business Working Group and as co-chairman of the BusinessTrust.
In addition to his business interests, Mr. Macozoma is recognised for his work in civil society. He has served as chairman of the University Council of the University of the Witwatersrand and the Council for Higher Education and is currently a member of the Board of Governors of Rhodes University. He is the Chairman of the Kwazulu–Natal Philharmonic Orchestra.
He studied political science, economics and journalism at the University of South Africa and Boston University in the USA. He embarked on a political career in the mid-1970s. In April 1996, Mr. Macozoma resigned from parliament to become the first black managing director of Transnet SOC Ltd, the parastatal company that runs South Africa’s ports and railways. Transnet’s assets were then worth R40-billion.

Low Ngee Tong is executive chairman of OMH, and a shareholder in Ntsimbintle. Mr. Low graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in mechanical engineering. He has over 25 years’ experience in the steel, ferro alloy and building materials industries in Asia. That experience was gained with Chiyoda Limited, a global Japanese civil engineering group; Intraco Limited; Intraco Resources Pty Limited and CItoh Limited, a significant Japanese metals trading house.
Mr. Low has been the Chief Executive Officer of OMH since its incorporation and subsequent listing in 1998. In October 2008, he was appointed executive chairman of OMH. His business relationships and reputation with several large multinational corporations in Asia have enabled OMH to successfully establish profitable operations based in Singapore, and extending to China and Australia.

Omphemetse Cynthia Mogodi is the chairperson of the John Taolo Gaetsewe Developmental Trust which holds a shareholding in Ntsimbintle. Ms Mogodi is a passionate proponent of community development and socio-economic upliftment. She became a trustee of the Kgalagadi Rural Charitable Trust (now the John Taolo Gaetsewe Developmental Trust) in 2002 and has been its chairperson since inception.
A revered figure in the Northern Cape, Ms Mogodi has served the people of her community for the past 35 years, originally as a professional nurse, and later as executive mayor of Kgalagadi Cross-boundary District Municipality. She is a member of the John Taolo Gaetsewe Municipal Council and serves as chairperson of the Finance & Human Resources Committee. Ms Mogodi holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree; diploma in general nursing, midwifery and clinical nursing science; and a certificate in Primary Healthcare Service Management.
She is a member of the South African Women in Mining Association (SAWIMA).

Brad was appointed Managing Director of Jupiter Mines on 1 August 2022. Brad joined Jupiter from leading mining logistics company Bis Industries, where he was Managing Director and CEO since 2015. He previously served as Bis’ Chief Financial Officer and Director of Corporate Development. Bis is a large production focussed mining services company and an industry leader in bulk mining logistics, including through the invention and use of proprietary technology. Prior to Bis, Brad was General Manager Corporate Development at ASX listed mining, engineering and infrastructure company GRD Limited, where he was responsible for group strategy, corporate finance and investor relations. He also led GRD’s Global Renewables operating business in Australia and Asia for three years.
Brad, a graduate of Curtin University and a Chartered Accountant, earlier worked as a corporate strategy advisor for Mainsheet Corporate and Arthur Andersen.

Ezekiel Lotlhare holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering. He excelled as a student of engineering, winning a silver medal from the South African Institution of Chemical Engineers (SAICHE) and an award from the Chemical Engineering Department at Wits Technikon for his performance as the best diploma student in chemical engineering in 1996. In 2009, Mr Lotlhare completed a Master of Business Leadership through the University of South Africa.
Ezekiel began his career in 1999, working as process metallurgist for Hotazel Manganese Mines. Since then he has filled a variety of positions – being production manager of Lonmin Platinum (the world’s third largest producer of platinum), plant manager at Hotazel Manganese Mines, Operations Manager for Tau Mining Consultants, General Manager for Tshipi Borwa Mine to his most recent position of CEO at Tshipi é Ntle Manganese Mining (Pty) Ltd.

Paul Jonker is a Chartered Accountant and completed his articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining Tshipi in 2012. He was the Financial Manager up until February 2022 and thereafter acted as the Chief Financial Officer for a period of six months before being fully appointed as from 01 September 2022.
He is responsible for the company’s Finance, Marketing, Risk and ICT Departments. This entails driving the financial planning, implementing cost containment strategies, ensuring that the cash flow is appropriate for the operations, controlling and evaluating the company’s capital structure, managing the overall company ICT strategy and enterprise risk management, and managing marketing partner relationships.
He is well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from general accounting, protecting the profit and revenues of the company to achieving full financial control and sustainable growth.

Mashudu is a mining executive with over a twenty year experience across the mining value chain. He started his career with the then BHP Billiton in 2001 as a mining graduate and rose through the ranks and was eventually appointed as Technical Services Manager in 2006 for one of BHP Billiton’s collieries.
Mashudu has also worked for small to medium sized mining entities in the Mpumalanga coal fields at mine and general management levels between 2008 and 2013. In 2013 Mashudu returned to BHP Billiton and joined the South African Manganese business, where he held various executive roles including Head of Resource Planning and Development. Following the demerger of South32 from BHB Billiton, Mashudu formed part of the Commercial Senior Management team in the Africa Region. While still with South32 he later formed part of the executive team that established South Africa Energy Coal (now sold to Sereti) as a standalone business in 2018.
He held the role of Vice President Commercial and later on he also held the role of Vice President Operations (COO). He joins Tshipi following two years where he worked for two mining houses. He looked after a manganese operation as a COO and later on moved to re-join South32 as a Project Director for the energy projects in Southern Africa.
Mashudu holds a Bachelor of Science (Mining Engineering), a Master of Engineering (Industrial) and a Master of Business Administration qualifications.

Mmaphuti is an admitted Attorney with experience in various corporate and commercial, mining regulatory, traditional communities and private equity practice areas and in respect of a range of industries including mining and renewable energy.
Her career started in 2015 at Fasken Law Firm as a Candidate Attorney, where she progressed up the ranks to the role of a Partner before joining Tshipi. Owing to her experience in her profession, she is adept in the advisory role in various commercial, mining regulatory, governance and transactional issues, including compliance with the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act and related legislation.
Her advisory role experience includes corporate governance matters, Companies Act advisory, and compliance matters. She has also assisted with due diligence investigations for both domestic and international clients. Mmaphuti holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree, both from Rhodes University and a Certificate of Competence in Advanced Company Law I, a Certificate of Competence in Advanced Company Law II, as well as a Certificate in Prospecting and Mining Law from the Nelson Mandela Institute.

Mpho Sadiki is a Corporate Affairs Executive who joined Tshipi from SABMiller where she was Head of Sustainability Division. Mpho is experienced in leading Social License to Operate as well as Economic, Social and Environmental (ESG) agenda for companies through shared value solutions.
Mpho has set up and managed several Broad Based Black Economic Development Funds successfully. She previously held Human Resources, Transformation and Suitability leadership roles in private and public sector large companies in South African for the past 20 years. Mpho has a strong consulting experience from working with companies such as Deloitte and Accenture. She has also been a Board member of Bapo Trust representing the community’s interests with the Lonmin Mine BBBEE transaction (2014 – 2016).
Mpho is registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders of SA. Mpho holds a Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Development Programme Certificate from the University of Witwatersrand; Bachelor of Commerce from University of Northwest, Bcur from Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA) and Human Resources Diploma Allenby College. Mpho is also a Certified Executive Coach by the Leadership Circle.
